Kids With Food AllergiesKids With Food Allergies (KFA) is a national nonprofit food allergy organization dedicated to fostering optimal health, nutrition, and well-being of children with food allergies by providing education and a caring support community for their families and caregivers. KFA helps children with food allergies and their families cope with dietary restrictions, lifestyle adjustments, fear and isolation through education, peer support, food/cooking assistance and outreach programs. Allergic ChildAllergicchild.com is the creation of Robert and Nicole Smith, the parents of a severely food allergic child. This site shares their experience to help keep other food allergic children safe, healthy and living as close to a 'normal' life as possible. The American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & ImmunologyThe American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (AAAAI) represents allergist/immunologists, allied health professionals and others with a special interest in the research and treatment of allergic disease. In addition, the AAAAI serves as an advocate to the public by providing educational information about allergic diseases. No Tree Nuts Review: This site has a richly informative section on Ask the Expert, available at the link below. Note that only questions from health care professionals are answered on this site, so, as a parent you can't submit a question, but this still provides in-depth information I've not found elsewhere. Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America (AAFA)The Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America (AAFA) works to develop and implement public policies to improve the quality of life for people with asthma and allergies. Since 1953, AAFA has been the provider of patient-centered information for the more than 60 million people with asthma and allergies in the United States . No Tree Nuts Review: This site provides an Ask the Allergist feature which it says is a free service provided by AAFA to consumers who want more specific information about asthma and allergies. The AAFA also produced the Annual Report of State Asthma and Allergy Policies for Schools - The first annual State Honor RollT of Asthma and Allergy Policies for Schools. This report identifies states with the most comprehensive and statewide public policies supporting people with asthma, food allergies and related allergic diseases in U.S. elementary, middle and high schools. The goal of this report is to provide a blueprint for asthma and allergy advocates in all states to help recognize and develop better school-based policies and practices.
